8. CCTV Surveillance and On-Premises Security
To ensure the safety and security of our members, staff, and property, The Barbell Club uses closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras to monitor activity within and around the gym premises. These cameras operate 24/7 and may record video footage.
- Purpose: Surveillance is conducted for security, crime prevention, safety monitoring, and incident resolution.
- Location: Cameras are placed in public areas such as entrances, workout zones, hallways, and reception. Cameras are never placed in private areas such as restrooms or changing rooms.
- Legal Basis: This processing is carried out in accordance with Law No. (13) of 2016 – Qatar Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (PDPPL), which allows personal data processing when necessary for security and safety.
- Data Storage: CCTV footage is securely stored and retained only for as long as necessary, typically not exceeding 30 days, unless required for investigative or legal reasons.
- Access: Access to CCTV footage is strictly limited to authorized personnel and service providers acting under confidentiality agreements.
